Lithic Museum of Pukara

The museum, the first stop of the bus ride to Cuzco, has a collection of monoliths and lithic sculptures from the Pucara Culture. They are classified into three groups: monoliths, stelae, and zoomorphic sculptures. Among the pieces on display are the 2-meter-high Stela of the Rain (also known as the Stela of the Lightning), the stone monolith of the Cutthroat (or Hatun Ñakaj), and the Devourer.

La Raya Pass (The highest point of the Route)

Located at an elevation of 4,325 meters (14,222 feet), the Raya Pass serves as a meeting point where the mountain ranges of central and southern Peru converge to create the Vilcanota 'node', characterized by its frequently cloud-covered snow-capped peaks. Beyond this pass lies the expansive Peruvian altiplano, extending towards the shores of Lake Titicaca, offering a truly unforgettable experience.

Buffet lunch in Sicuani

The buffet lunch provides an array of dishes, including options for vegan and vegetarian guests, complemented by live Andean music for the enjoyment of passengers. Surrounded by picturesque views of rivers and mountains, guests can savor their meal in the midst of stunning natural scenery. Following the buffet, passengers have the opportunity to mingle and capture photos with the camelids grazing in the open fields. Please note that cold drinks, such as soft drinks or beer, are not included.

Raqchi Aarchaeological Complex

Nestled amidst snow-capped peaks and quaint villages in the Andean highlands between Cusco and Puno, you will find the stunning pre-Inca site of Raqchi. The most notable features of Raqchi are the towering and slender columns, some reaching heights of up to 12 meters. At the center of this settlement, perched at a high altitude above sea level, stands the remarkable Raqchi temple. Constructed from volcanic rock and clay, this temple dedicated to the Inca deity Viracocha stands out as a unique architectural marvel in Latin America.

Andahuaylillas Sistine Chapel of America

The Church of San Pedro, recognized globally as the Sistine Chapel of America, can be found in the town of Andahuaylillas, situated 36 kilometers southeast of Cusco. While the church's exterior may appear modest, it is the interior that truly shines, making it a prized masterpiece of colonial art in Peru.
