Your Travel Experience with Bamba
Experience the thrill of being part of a hatchling's first great journey toward the sea. Thanks to the dedicated conservation camps in Puerto Escondido, these releases take place year-round, every day at 5:00 PM during the golden hour of sunset. Upon arrival at the camp, you will receive a briefing on the conservation efforts and the biological importance of the release. You will be entrusted with a turtle that has hatched within the last 30 minutes, safely placed inside a traditional jícara (small bowl). From there, you will head to the shoreline to the designated "starting line," where you will release your turtle and watch as it makes its way across the sand into the Pacific Ocean.
