Day 1 - Arrival in Pisa

Upon arriving at your hotel in Pisa, take some time to unwind and explore the city at your own pace. Stroll through the picturesque narrow streets and enjoy the unique charm of this historic place. Take a moment to relax with a glass of local Chianti wine and relish the exquisite olive oil produced in the nearby vineyards. As evening approaches, make sure to walk along the Arno River, where you'll find chapels and pastel-colored houses adorning the waterfront. Spend your afternoon leisurely in the serene garden of your hotel in San Giuliano, providing the perfect backdrop for a tranquil end to your first day.

Day 2 - Pisa Round Trip with Short and Long Route Options

Short Route: Start your day with an easy, warm-up ride along the historic aqueduct and dedicated bike paths that lead directly to the heart of Pisa. Here, you can explore the world-famous Miracle Square and its iconic Leaning Tower. As you wander through the city, marvel at the numerous palaces, churches, towers, and town squares. Take a relaxing break at Piazza dei Cavalieri, where you can admire the stunning historic architecture that surrounds you.

Long Route: For a more challenging ride, begin your journey through the picturesque countryside between Pisa and Monte Serra. Make a stop to visit the impressive Certosa of Calci monastery, founded in 1366 and home to a renowned Natural History Museum. In the latter part of the day, return to Pisa and follow the same itinerary as the short route, exploring the city's many remarkable monuments and attractions.

Day 3 - Pisa to Lucca

Today's journey is both picturesque and mostly flat. You'll follow the Serchio River and, after 25 kilometers, arrive in the charming town of Lucca. Here, you'll have plenty of time to explore the town's splendid gardens, majestic bell tower, and the impressive Piazza Anfiteatro, a Roman amphitheater dating back to the 2nd century. Be sure not to miss a ride along the tree-lined walls that encircle the town.

Day 4 - Lucca Round Trip: Flat and Hilly Route Options

Today, you have the option to embark on one of two scenic journeys exploring the charming Renaissance villas on the outskirts of Lucca. Both routes are similar in distance, but offer different levels of difficulty. The easy route is mostly flat, making for a leisurely ride, while the hilly route features more elevation changes, rewarding you with stunning panoramic views. Along the way, enjoy guided tours of various prestigious villas and take leisurely strolls through their exquisitely manicured gardens.

Day 5: Journey from Lucca to Vinci

Pedal your way through the verdant landscape of Altopascio, enveloped by the lush greenery that rejuvenates your spirit. Continue your cycling adventure to Vinci, birthplace of the legendary inventor and artist, Leonardo da Vinci. Day 6 - Round Trip to Vinci, Transfer to Empoli, and Train to Florence with Opti

Spend the day immersing yourself in the world of Leonardo da Vinci by visiting his birthplace and exploring two exceptional museums dedicated to his original designs and inventions. Once you've had your fill of inspiration, leave your bike at your Vinci accommodation and take a transfer straight to Empoli.

From there, catch a local train to Florence, the crown jewel of the Renaissance, where you'll spend the night.
