Challenging Trekking Experience Lace up your boots for a full day of hiking! Prepare for about 10 hours of breathtaking mountain trails, lush landscapes, and authentic Guatemalan countryside as you make your way to the evening’s destination. Warm Village Welcome Arrive at a charming mountain village where a friendly local family hosts you. Enjoy the warm hospitality, share stories, and immerse yourself in the village way of life.
Day 1 - 2
Evening Relaxation Unwind by playing with the lively village children or rejuvenating your body and spirit with a traditional "Temascal" (Mayan sauna). Let the peaceful surroundings help you recharge.
Day 2
Early Morning Rise & Breakfast (6:00 AM) Begin the adventure with a sunrise wakeup and a hearty breakfast, setting the stage for an energizing day ahead. Packing and Preparation Pack your backpack with essentials and prepare for a long yet rewarding journey through changing landscapes and rustic trails. Trekking the Andean Trails (Morning to Afternoon) Hit the dirt roads for a 6-hour hike, with the path weaving up and down hills, offering panoramic mountain views, wild scenery, and glimpses of rural life along the way.
Day 2 - 3
Arrive in Santa Clara – Community Connection (Afternoon/Evening) Reach the inviting village of Santa Clara, where you’ll be welcomed by local families and immerse yourself in their customs during an authentic overnight homestay.
Day 3
Sunrise Preparation and Hike (4:00 AM): Wake before dawn, pack up your gear, and set out on a 45-minute hike to an awe-inspiring vantage point above Lake Atitlán. Magical Sunrise & Breakfast: Arrive as the sky blazes with color, illuminating the lake and its volcanoes. Enjoy a fresh breakfast at the viewpoint, savoring panoramic views and the peaceful morning. Descending Trek to San Pedro: Fueled for adventure, continue your journey with a 4-hour trek down winding paths, forests, and villages, all the way to lively San Pedro la Laguna.
Journey's End (9:00 AM): Celebrate your accomplishment as you arrive in San Pedro la Laguna, where your unforgettable trek concludes by mid-morning.
