Your Travel Experience with Bamba

San Diego Church & Musical Welcome The evening begins at the historic San Diego Church, where the vibrant energy of Guanajuato comes to life. You’ll be greeted by the Estudiantina—talented student musicians dressed in traditional 16th-century attire—who set a festive mood with classic Mexican melodies, string instruments, and infectious high spirits.

A Journey Through Enchanting Alleys Once the music starts, follow the troupe as they lead you on a rhythmic walk through 12 of the city’s most emblematic and narrowest alleys. Along the way, you’ll discover hidden gems like the Salto del Mono (Monkey’s Leap) alley. As you wander through these colonial stone corridors, your guides weave together a tapestry of local legends, humor, and song, turning the streets into a living theater.

The Legend of the Alley of the Kiss The journey reaches its romantic climax at the world-famous Alley of the Kiss (Callejón del Beso). Here, the musicians recount the tragic and beautiful legend that defines this narrow passageway. To bring the story to life, a volunteer couple is invited for a playful "acting class" to reenact the iconic balcony scene, providing a memorable and lighthearted finale to this quintessential Guanajuato tradition.
