Your Travel Experience with Bamba
Day 1
Start early with a pickup from your hotel between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., and travel in a comfortable, private bus.
Visit the Ninamarca funerary towers at 3750 meters above sea level and make a brief stop in the folkloric town of Paucartambo. Ascend to the Acjanaco sector at 4000 meters, the entry point to Manu National Park. Descend through the mysterious cloud forest teeming with diverse flora and fauna, including orchids and ferns. Take a walk to observe the Cock of the Rocks in its mating ritual and potentially spot Trogons, Quetzales, and the Spectacled Bear.
Day 1 - 2
Conclude the day in Pilcopata at 550 meters, staying in a typical lodge with private bathrooms and showers.
Day 2
After a tasty breakfast, travel by bus for 45 minutes to Atalaya at 490 meters, then embark on a 30-minute boat ride to Paititi Lodge
Observe a variety of animals along the way. After lunch, explore Cocha Machuwasi by catamaran to see birds like the Hoatzin, as well as monkeys, reptiles, dwarf alligators, and possibly capybaras.
Day 2 - 3
Enjoy an optional night trek before spending the night at the lodge with private bathrooms and showers.
Day 3
Set out early for a 45-minute boat trip to the parrots clay lick to witness hundreds of green parrots feeding on mineral-rich clay.
After breakfast, return by boat to Atalaya and continue by bus to Cusco, passing through Pilcopata, Patria, and Chontachaca, revisiting the stunning cloud forest. Arrive back in Cusco between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
