Your Travel Experience with Bamba
Day 1
Cuzco Departure
Your adventure begins with a 6:30/7:00 AM departure from Cuzco. Make sure to prepare everything the night before, as this adventure waits for no one!
Transfer from Cuzco to Malaga High Pass
Today, you will be picked up at your accommodation in Cuzco between 6:40 and 7:00 am for a 1.5-hour drive to Ollantaytambo where you will have a quick breakfast and buy some snacks before continuing your way for another 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Malaga High Pass (4,350 m).
Bicycle ride to Santa Maria Village
Receive a safety briefing with your guide before enjoying a 1.5-hour bike ride through the lush jungle. Get the opportunity to visit the Huamanmarca archaeological site before heading towards Santa Maria Village (1,400 m) at around 2:00- 2:30 pm.
Enjoy your afternoon at your leisure and get some rest or opt for an optional rafting activity, you will go down class III & IV rapids on the Urubamba River for 2 hours and 30 minutes
Day 1 - 2

Note: Accommodation options are very limited along the trekking route for the first 2 nights in Santa Maria & Santa Teresa villages. Most places have very basic, rustic facilities. Rooms often share a bathroom and sometimes do not have hot water. However, we always choose the best available option.
Day 2
Trek to Santa Teresa Village
Enjoy a trekking day through the jungle mountains and get some incredible views of the magnificent landscape, abundant wildlife, and the local people. After the lunch break, you will continue your way to Santa Teresa Village (1,680 m) where you will spend the night in a basic rustic guesthouse.
Note: you will be offered the option to relax in the Hot Springs (at an extra cost).
Day 2 - 3

Day 3
Trek to Aguas Calientes with a stop at Hydroelectric Station
Today, you will have the option to go on a Canopy Zip-Line activity (at an extra cost) for 2 hours on South America's highest and Peru's first canopy zip-line. Then, you will hike for 3 hours along the train tracks to Hydroelectric Station where you will have lunch before walking for 3 other hours to Aguas Calientes. There, you will find many cafes, shops and places to relax. There is an optional train ride from Hydroelectric Station to Aguas Calientes (at an extra cost) if you feel too tired.
Day 3 - 4
Overnight at 3* Hotel

Day 4
Explore Machu Picchu
You will start your day early as you will take off on a bus at 05;30 am to the incredible city of Machu Picchu (25-minute ride). You will get the chance to enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of this spectacular archaeological site, you will learn more about the history of this mysterious city. You will then have time to explore this unique place on your own. You will also be able to climb the Huayna Picchu Peak inside the Machu Picchu archaeological site (to be booked 2 weeks in advance at an extra cost).
Transfer to Aguas Calientes
You will finally take the bus back to Aguas Calientes where you can visit the local marketplace if you have time.
Train to Ollantaytambo
Catch a train that takes you through the scenic Andean landscapes to Ollantaytambo.
The train ride offers a relaxing journey through the Andes, allowing you to reflect on your incredible adventure. Enjoy the views of the dramatic mountains and valleys as you travel.
Ollantaytambo to Cuzco
Upon arriving in Ollantaytambo, you'll transfer to a bus for the final leg of your return journey to Cuzco. The bus ride provides additional opportunities to take in the beautiful Peruvian countryside.
You'll arrive in Cuzco at approximately 20:00. The bus will drop you off at Plaza San Francisco, from where you can easily make your way back to your chosen accommodation, concluding your unforgettable Inca Trail adventure.
