Day 1

Begin with hotel pickup and journey out of Arequipa. Marvel at panoramic views of the snow-capped Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu volcanoes en route. Enter the Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, where you’ll pause to watch wild vicuñas grazing on the high plain at 3,400 meters above sea level.

Wildlife Encounters in Pampa Cañahuas Travel into the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where you’ll make stops to observe wild vicuñas in their natural highland habitat at around 3,400 meters above sea level. Continue through the sparse beauty of the high Andean valleys, pausing at glimmering lakes and the dramatic La Ventana rock formation—which offers sweeping panoramas and perfect photo ops. You'll also be enchanted by the towering Callalli rock castles, ancient stone formations sculpted by nature.

Explore Callalli Town Arrive in the picturesque town of Callalli, with its lovely central plaza and breathtaking views of Mount Torreqaqa. Take time to stroll the village and soak in the unique atmosphere.

Lunch and Culture in Sibayo Next, make your way to Sibayo, a charming village known as Rumillaqta, or "city of stone." Share a delicious home-cooked lunch with a local family and enjoy the town’s stone architecture and serene plaza at 3,850 meters elevation.

Arrival at Coporaque & Leisure Time Head to the lovely village of Coporaque and settle into your comfortable lodge, La Casa de Mamayacchi. Take some time to relax and enjoy the tranquil setting of the Colca Valley. Optional: Soak in Thermal Baths In the late afternoon, join your guide for an optional dip in the region’s soothing thermal baths—perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. (Entrance fee and towel not included.)

Day 2

Early Morning: Condor Spectacle Kick off the day with a very early breakfast, then set out for the renowned Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. Here, soak in breathtaking views of the Colca Canyon, and—if nature is on your side—capture unforgettable photos of the majestic Andean Condors gliding overhead.

Guided Walk: Canyon Exploration Next, embark on a scenic one-hour guided walk along the canyon’s rim. This easy hike offers extra chances to spot condors, admire the canyon's dramatic geology, and fully immerse in the dazzling landscape.

Scenic Return: Ancient Terraces & Villages On your way back to Chivay, stop at the Antahuilque viewpoint for panoramic views of pre-Incan terraces—some over 1,500 years old. You’ll also pass through picturesque villages like Maca and Yanque, where ancient traditions live on. Lunchtime in Chivay Arriving in Chivay by midday, take a well-deserved break for lunch at your leisure (not included in the tour).

Afternoon: Choose Your Adventure You decide how to spend your Colca afternoon: Village Life Experience: Visit a local’s home and join in season-dependent activities such as farming, herding, or harvesting—an authentic Andean experience. Adrenaline Rush: Opt for a thrilling zip line adventure over Colca Canyon (activity at extra cost; transfers included). Free Time: Unwind at your own pace—stroll through Chivay, revisit the soothing hot springs, or simply relax. Your guide will happily offer suggestions. Overnight in Lodge End a memorable day winding down at your cozy local lodge in the Colca Valley.

Day 3

Early Morning: Scenic Drive to Puno Depart around 7:00 am after breakfast, beginning your picturesque journey across the high Andes toward Puno, the city on Lake Titicaca.

Lagunillas Lagoons: Wildlife Spotting Pause en route for photo opportunities at the breathtaking Lagunillas Lagoons. Keep your eyes open for elegant Andean flamingos, ducks, and other wild birds thriving in this pristine habitat.

Sillustani: Enigmatic Funerary Towers Before reaching Puno, divert to Sillustani to explore its fascinating chullpas—soaring ancient funerary towers built by the Colla people, a pre-Inca culture. Marvel at structures up to 12 meters tall, dramatically set beside sparkling Lago Umayo, home to unique plants and birds. (Guiding and entrance fees not included.)

Arrival in Puno: Lake Titicaca Awaits After a remarkable day of exploration, continue to Puno, arriving around 2:00 p.m. Transfer to your hotel and settle in at the edge of Peru’s most famed lake.
